My Thoughts on Therapy

To me, therapy helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and with others. It offers us a space to reflect on what we’ve been through and where we’re going; who we are and who we're becoming. It’s a journey of self-exploration that helps us to heal, to grow, and come home to ourselves.

That’s the kind of therapy I offer. I’m here to accept you as you are, to be real with you, and to walk with you toward a more authentic and fulfilling life. My presence is warm, calm, and compassionate, and the relationship we build together will be at the heart of everything we do. Together, we will gently untangle the knots that you carry inside you, freeing you to move forward in ways that feel true and right for you. We will help you feel more resilient, more in tune with your feelings, and more at peace with who you are and how you fit into this world.

Services

  • I work with individuals, couples, groups, and those navigating career uncertainty.

My clients tend to be thoughtful, self-reflective people who feel that something in their lives isn’t right and want to explore why. They often struggle with self-doubt, anxiety, loneliness, trauma, relationship wounds, or a quiet ache of feeling disconnected from themselves. Some are navigating a loss or a life transition. Others simply want to understand themselves more deeply and live more fully and authentically. What they share is a willingness to look inward and a desire for change that is long-lasting.

    • Individuals

      • As a humanistic therapist, I prioritize building a genuine and meaningful relationship with you. From this place of comfort and safety, I will help you explore your inner world in depth, and with curiosity and compassion. Those who meet with me—especially over longer periods of time—tend to grow into fuller versions of themselves: more resilient to stress, more in touch with their feelings, and more understanding and embracing of who they are.

    • Couples

      • I use emotion-focused therapy (EFT) skills to interrupt cycles of disconnection and conflict. In place of those cycles, I facilitate loving, vulnerable communication between partners and provide feedback that is warm and direct. Couples tend to come away feeling more deeply understood by their partners and more connected as a unit.

    • Groups

      • I plan to offer small process groups in the near future — intimate spaces where members can speak honestly, feel genuinely heard, and discover that they are far less alone than they may have thought. If you are interested in joining a group, please reach out and I will add you to the waitlist.

    • Career

      • As a career counselor, I help those who are feeling stuck or unsure of where to start. This process tends to last 2-3 sessions, and typically involves exploring results from career assessments that highlight your strengths and inclinations. By the end of the process, you can expect to feel more clear on the jobs and environments that most naturally suit you.
